How the images to PDF converter works

Each image is opened in your browser, turned upright using its camera orientation data, rotated if you asked, and placed on a PDF page. The tool builds the PDF on your device with an open source PDF engine, so nothing is uploaded.

Page options

  • Page size: A4, US Letter, US Legal, A5, or the same size as each image.
  • Orientation: automatic picks portrait or landscape per image, or force one for all pages.
  • Margin: none, small, medium or large white border.
  • Placement: fit the whole image on the page, or fill the page and trim the edges.

File size

Images are re-encoded as JPEG at the quality you choose and scaled down to a sensible maximum (3200, 2400 or 1600 pixels on the long side). Phone photos of 5 to 10 MB each usually become a few hundred KB per page, so the PDF is easy to email.

Limitations

Transparent areas in PNG files become white. Animated GIFs use only the first frame. HEIC photos from iPhones open only in Safari; elsewhere, set the camera to Most Compatible or share the photos as JPG. The PDF contains images, so text in screenshots is not searchable.

FAQ

Images to PDF FAQs

How do I convert JPG to PDF for free?

Choose your JPG files, arrange them in the order you want and pick a page size such as A4. Click Create PDF and download it. The conversion happens in your browser in seconds, with no watermark, no sign up and no upload of your photos.

Can I combine multiple images into one PDF?

Yes. Add as many images as you like, from your gallery or computer. Each image becomes one page. Drag the rows or use the arrows to change the order, rotate photos that are sideways, then create a single PDF containing all of them.

What page size should I choose?

Choose A4 for most countries including Pakistan, the UK and Europe, and US Letter for the United States and Canada. Same size as each image keeps every page at the photo’s own shape with no white space, which suits portfolios and screenshots.

Will my photos lose quality in the PDF?

Photos are saved as JPEG inside the PDF. High quality keeps them close to the original. Balanced is sharp on screen and in print while keeping the file small. Small file is best for email limits. You can compare and pick the level that suits you.
