Enhance modes
- Magic colour estimates the paper brightness across the page and evens it out, which removes most shadows and makes the paper white while keeping stamps and signatures in colour.
- Greyscale does the same and drops colour for smaller files.
- Black and white applies an adaptive threshold for crisp text, ideal for faxes, forms and printed letters.
- Original keeps the photo as taken.
The strength slider changes how hard the contrast is pushed. Pages are saved as JPEG images inside a PDF sized to A4, US Letter or the scan itself.
Privacy and offline use
Photos are never uploaded. All processing happens in your browser, so the scanner also works with no internet connection inside our app.
Limitations
The PDF holds images of your pages, so the text is not searchable or editable (there is no OCR). Automatic edge detection needs contrast between the page and the background, so place white paper on a darker table. Very curled pages or heavy glare cannot be fully corrected.

Can I scan documents to PDF without installing an app?
Yes. Open this page on your phone, tap Take photo and your camera opens directly in the browser. Add one photo per page, adjust the corners and download a single PDF. Nothing is installed and the photos never leave your phone, so it is safe for invoices, IDs and contracts.
How do I get a clean white background on my scan?
Choose Magic colour or Black and white. Both modes measure the paper brightness across the page and even it out, which removes shadows and grey tints. For best results shoot in daylight, hold the phone parallel to the page and place the paper on a darker surface so the edges are found automatically.
Is the scanned PDF searchable?
No. The scanner saves each page as an image inside the PDF, which keeps it free and fully private, but it does not run text recognition. If you need selectable text, open the PDF in a tool that offers OCR, such as Google Drive or Adobe Acrobat, after scanning.
Can I scan several pages into one PDF?
Yes. Keep tapping Take photo or Add images to add more pages. Use the arrows under each thumbnail to change the order, rotate pages that came out sideways and delete any you do not need. When you download, every page goes into one PDF in the order shown.
