Headline Generator: Generate 25 or more headlines for blog posts, landing pages, emails or videos, each with a simple score so you can quickly spot the strongest options. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser. How to use it: 1) enter your topic or keyword; 2) choose where the headline will be used; 3) sort by score, formula or length and copy your favorites. Most great headlines follow a handful of formulas: numbers and lists, how-to, questions, curiosity, guides, the 4U approach (useful, urgent, unique, ultra-specific), benefits, comparisons, problems and local angles. The generator fills more than 50 formula templates with your keyword, audience and location, then keeps the ones that read naturally.
How the headline generator works

The generator fills more than 50 formula templates with your keyword, audience and location, then keeps the ones that read naturally.
The method
The headline score
Each headline gets a score out of 100: up to 25 for ideal length (for example 40 to 65 characters for blog titles), 10 for a number, up to 20 for power words, up to 15 for emotional words, 20 for including your keyword and 10 for a readable word count. Hints show what would raise the score.
The tool combines your inputs with tested copywriting frameworks such as AIDA, Problem-Agitate-Solve, Before-After-Bridge and Features-Advantages-Benefits. It adds industry word banks for more than a dozen niches, five tones of voice and call-to-action banks for booking, calling, buying, visiting, learning, enquiring and WhatsApp. It then varies sentence openings and removes near-duplicates, so every option reads differently. Click “Generate more” for a fresh mix.
Optional AI mode
When the site owner switches it on, an extra “AI version” button can write one more variation using Google’s free Gemini tier. Everything else works without it, with no sign-up and no credits.
Limitations
The score is a rule of thumb, not a prediction of clicks. A specific, honest headline that matches the content will beat a high-scoring generic one. Test headlines with real audiences where you can, for example in email subject tests or ad experiments.
Headline Generator FAQs
What makes a good headline?
A good headline is clear about the topic, promises a specific benefit and gives a reason to click now. Numbers, strong verbs and the reader’s own words help, but clarity matters most. It must also match what the content delivers.
How long should a blog headline be?
For SEO title tags, aim for about 50 to 60 characters so the full title shows in search results. On-page headlines can be a little longer. Put the main keyword near the start. The free tool above is built around this approach, so you can try it in seconds and edit the result.
Do numbers in headlines really work?
Numbers often improve click-through because they set clear expectations and are easy to scan. Use them when the content is genuinely a list or a set of steps, and choose a number that matches the content. Always review the final version yourself and make sure it fits your brand before you publish it.
What are power words?
Power words are words that trigger interest or emotion, such as simple, proven, mistakes, secret or finally. Use one or two to add energy, but avoid overusing them, which can make a headline feel like clickbait. Small, consistent improvements like this add up over time and are easy to test.
