About Hollywood Bowl
The Hollywood Bowl is an outdoor amphitheater in the Hollywood Hills at 2301 North Highland Avenue. It opened on July 11, 1922 and seats about 17,500. Los Angeles County owns the venue and runs it together with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association. It is the summer home of the LA Phil and the home of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and its season mixes classical programs with pop and rock concerts. The concentric-arch shell built in 1929 stood until 2003 and was replaced by a larger, acoustically improved shell for the 2004 season. Rolling Stone named the Bowl one of the ten best live music venues in the United States in 2018, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2023. In November 2025 the stage was named for composer John Williams. The attendance record of 26,410 was set at a Lily Pons performance in 1936.

Where do you park for the Hollywood Bowl?
On-site parking is very limited and stacked, so the Bowl recommends buying parking in advance, and it can sell out. Neighborhood street parking is off limits to concertgoers. Many fans instead use Park & Ride or Bowl Shuttle buses, or take the free shuttle from Hollywood/Highland Station.
Can you take Metro to the Hollywood Bowl?
Yes. Ride the Metro B Line to Hollywood/Highland Station, about a mile from the Bowl, then board the free Bowl shuttle at Ovation Hollywood. You need a valid Metro TAP card or GoMetro round-trip pass to ride the shuttle. Metro Bus Line 224 also serves the area.
Where is rideshare drop-off at the Hollywood Bowl?
Rideshare drop-off and pickup at the Hollywood Bowl are in Lot C, also called the Purple lot. The Bowl asks guests to set their rideshare app destination to 6655 Odin Street so drivers go straight to the correct area instead of stopping on busy Highland Avenue.
