How the digital business card maker works

The tool turns your details into four useful files, all made in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and your details are saved on this device so you can update the card later.

  • vCard (.vcf): the standard contact file that iPhone, Android, Outlook and Gmail can import. It can include your photo.
  • QR code: holds your contact details as vCard text. Scanning it with a phone camera offers to save you as a contact. The photo is left out to keep the code easy to scan.
  • Card images: a front and back PNG at 1050 by 600 pixels, which is 3.5 by 2 inches at 300 dpi, plus a two page print PDF.
  • Share text: a plain text version for WhatsApp, SMS or email.

Tips for a card that works

Keep the job title short, use a mobile number in international format such as +1 or +92, and add only the social profiles you actively use. Long taglines and many links make the QR code denser and harder to scan, so the tool warns you if the details no longer fit.

Limitations

This is a static card, not a hosted profile page, so if your number changes you need to share the new file or QR code. Phone contact apps differ in which fields they import, and some ignore social links or notes. For professional printing, ask your printer about bleed and paper size, since standard card sizes vary by country.

FAQ

Digital Business Card Maker FAQs

What is a vCard file?

A vCard is a small contact file with the .vcf extension. When someone opens it on a phone or in an email app, it offers to save your name, number, email, website, address and photo as a new contact. It is the most widely supported way to share contact details.

How does the business card QR code work?

The QR code contains your contact details written in vCard format. When someone points a phone camera at it, the phone reads the details and offers to add you as a contact. It works without internet and does not depend on any website staying online.

Can I print these business cards?

Yes. Download the print PDF or the PNG images. They are 3.5 by 2 inches at 300 dpi, the standard US card size. Ask your printer whether they need extra bleed around the edges. In many countries 85 by 55 mm is common, which is very close.

Is my contact information stored online?

No. The card is created in your browser and your details and photo are saved only on this device so you can edit them later. Nothing is uploaded to our server. Share the files yourself by WhatsApp, email or the share button.
