How the keyword research tool works
Google Autocomplete suggests searches based on what real people type. This tool asks Google for suggestions on your seed keyword many times: on its own, with question words (how, what, why), with buying modifiers (best, cost, near me, vs) and with letters of the alphabet after it. Each lookup returns up to 10 suggestions. We remove duplicates and sort them into five groups.
- Questions: searches that start with how, what, why, can, is and similar words. Great for FAQ sections and blog posts.
- Comparisons: vs, or, alternative and difference searches.
- Local: near me, nearby and open now searches.
- Commercial: best, price, cost, cheap, hire and service searches with buying intent.
- Long tail and related: everything else, often longer and easier to rank for.
Click Load more to run 16 more lookups with the rest of the alphabet and extra question words. Results are cached for 7 days.
Why there are no search volumes
Google only shares search volumes through paid advertising accounts and paid data providers. We do not invent numbers. To check volume, paste your shortlist into Google Keyword Planner (free with an Ads account) or look at impressions in Google Search Console.
Limitations
Autocomplete favours popular searches and hides sensitive ones. It can also change by location and over time, so treat the list as ideas to validate, not a complete keyword database.
Keyword Research Tool FAQs
Are these keywords real searches?
Yes. Every keyword comes directly from Google Autocomplete, which suggests searches that real people type. Google adds suggestions based on search popularity and freshness, so a phrase appearing here means people are searching it, even if the exact monthly volume is not shown.
Why does the tool not show search volume or keyword difficulty?
Accurate volumes are only available from Google’s paid advertising data or paid SEO databases. Many free tools show estimates that can be far off. We prefer to show only real data. Check volumes for your shortlist in Google Keyword Planner or Search Console.
How do I choose which keywords to target?
Start with commercial and local keywords that match a service you offer, then add question keywords as FAQ content. Prefer longer, specific phrases with clear intent, such as a service plus a city. Give each main keyword its own page instead of stuffing many into one.
Can I research keywords for another country?
Yes. Choose the country and language before you search. Google returns suggestions based on that market, so results for the UK, UAE or Pakistan can differ a lot from the US. This helps businesses that serve customers in several countries.
