How the Walmart listing checker works
The checker compares your item content with Walmart Marketplace’s published content guidelines and common best practice. It runs in your browser, works offline in the Hayyat Networks app and never uploads your listing.
What it checks
- Product name: about 50 to 75 characters recommended, with a hard maximum of about 150; brand first; no promotional language, special characters, ALL CAPS or repeated words; a size, measurement or count where it applies.
- Key features: 3 to 10 short, scannable bullets with no promotional claims or duplicates.
- Description: at least about 150 words, using the main words from your product name, with no links, email addresses or phone numbers.
- Images: at least 4 images, with a square main image of about 2200 x 2200 px on a white background.
Suggested product name
Walmart recommends this order: Brand + defining qualities + item name + style + size or count. Fill the four optional fields and the tool builds the name in that order, removes repeated words, and offers shorter versions that land inside 50 to 75 characters. Without those fields it cleans your current name and moves the brand to the front.
Limitations
The score reflects content rules only. It does not predict search rank or sales and does not read Walmart’s Listing Quality Dashboard. Category specific attribute rules are not checked. Default rates and limits checked November 2026. Fees and rules change, so confirm in your seller dashboard. Not affiliated with Etsy, Amazon, eBay or Walmart.

How long should a Walmart product name be?
Walmart recommends about 50 to 75 characters, with a hard maximum of about 150. Use the format brand, defining qualities, item name, style, then size or count. Names inside that range read well in search results and on mobile, while longer names get cut and can look like keyword stuffing.
How many key features does a Walmart listing need?
Use 3 to 10 key features. Walmart shows them as bullets near the top of the item page, so keep each to one clear sentence about a benefit, material, size or what is included. Leave out pricing, shipping offers and promotional claims, and do not repeat the same point twice.
What makes a Walmart listing get rejected or score low?
Common problems are promotional words such as sale or free shipping in the name, special characters, ALL CAPS, missing brand, too few key features, a thin description under about 150 words, links or contact details in the content, and fewer than 4 images or a main image without a white background.
Does this checker connect to my Walmart Seller Center?
No. It does not connect to Seller Center or Walmart’s Listing Quality Dashboard. You paste your content and it is checked in your browser against published guidelines, so nothing is uploaded. Use it before publishing or while fixing items your dashboard flags, then confirm the result in Seller Center.
